I had taught Japanese at the elementary level as a graduate assistant teacher at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, from which I also earned my Masters Degree. Each semester, I have been successful both in teaching Japanese and attracting the interest of my students. Even though Japanese is a difficult subject, I have been able to inspire my students and most do not give up and continue to study Japanese until they graduate from the University.
Before coming to the University, I worked at the Child Development Center and taught Japanese language and culture to 5 year-old children. I enjoyed teaching Japanese and sharing my culture with children at the Child Care Center as well as teaching Japanese at the college level at the University of Illinois.
These experiences have proven that I am able to perform well as a Japanese language instructor as well as my ability to interact well with my colleagues and students of all ages.
