I am a native Chinese speaker, born in Beijing, China. I have learned Korean since I was 8 years old. I have tutored many English speakers for their Chinese and Korean. Regardless of boring textbooks, I prefer to teach you Chinese in your favorite way. Conversations with a native speaker is always important, as well as the fastest way to be an expert of the target language. Improving your vocabulary by talking about an interesting topic can definitely make language study more interesting and easier.
I do believe the learning a language is a long journey of an accumulation of the culture and vocabulary. My philosophy of teaching Chinese and Korean is to encourage my students to remember the language by their hands. Once your hands can write down the Chinese character before your brain sends the signal, that means you will never forget the word.
I graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, majoring in Japanese and East Asian studies. I am capable of teaching beginner level and intermediate level Japanese. I have a lot of experience teaching UMCP study abroad students Japanese for their preparations leading up to studying in Japan.
