Ni hao! Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
I came to the US three years ago to teach a kindergarten Chinese immersion program in an elementary school located in suburban Detroit. Meantime, I obtained my Master's Degree in Teaching and Curriculum at Michigan State University. I also received the Provisional Teaching Certificate of teaching Mandarin Chinese to K-12 American students.
Enough for my qualifications, here is how I feel about teaching: In the past few years, I have had so much fun with my students. I enjoy the new ways they look at things. I enjoy hearing the anecdotes about how they practiced Chinese at home. But what I enjoy most is the sense of accomplishment and satisfaction when I hear them speaking, reading, singing or playing in Chinese. To me, this feeling is not comparable to those brought by any other types of work.
Honestly, I have never done tutoring before. With my passion and qualifications, however, I am fully confident that you will be the next student who enjoys learning Chinese language and culture with me and realizes Chinese is simply NOT one of the most difficult languages in the world.
Come on, let's explore the Chinese world together!
