I’m Kimberly and I've been tutoring off and on since 1994 when I was an undergraduate chemistry major at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Most significant in my tutorial background is the fact that I initially struggled greatly as a science major in college, yet went on to earn 3 Science degrees and a Science minor. Therefore, I feel especially qualified to help students overcome and excel both in science courses and as a science major, and I feel personally satisfied seeing students succeed who struggled as I once did.
My experience includes tutoring middle/high school students and undergraduate science majors. I'm also an Adjunct Chemistry Professor at a local university. Courses I've tutored students in include middle school math and science, high school chemistry, and undergraduate level general, organic, and biochemistry. I also recently scored well on the medical college admissions test (MCAT) and on the Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology section of the graduate records exam (GRE). So I can also assist with test preparation in scientific subject areas and in subjects like genetics, histology, molecular biology, and microbiology.
I'm available to Maryland and DC residents at the advertised rate, and to residents of Northern Virginia at a slightly higher rate.
