Gita is very caring, responsible and thorough. She teaches the whole subject before solving the problems. She is very patient and clear. Gita has been working with my daughter since March 2011. She started teaching Biology and since she was a very effective tutor we asked her this summer to tutor math to prepare our daughter for SAT exam in October. My daughter says she wishes we had found Gita few years ago.

We have had several tutors in math and science, all were good but for some reason my daughter still experienced some difficulties. However, when Gita tutored her, that all changed. Gita really worked hard with her, made sure she understood the concepts, went over tests and homework to insure a complete understanding. Gita is patient and really cares that her students understand. But most importantly, she is willing to take the extra time and measure the learning with quizzes and other tools. It makes a difference to have a tutor that wants you to learn and understand. Overall, I think that Gita is an excellent tutor, your student will see improvements in learning and understanding science/math concepts.

My son has had difficulty in math (Geometry, Algebra 2, etc.), since entering high school. He had multiple issues blocking his success such as a lack of confidence, motivation, ADD and some poor teaching. Gitanjali was able to break down the material in a way that allowed him to easily grasp concepts, while simultaneously building his confidence. As a result, he became a stronger math student receiving many A's and B's on quizzes/tests as opposed to D's or failing grades. She reviews the lesson material before each session and is not satisfied until the student masters the content.

Like any other parent, we were cautiously optimistic in the beginning. Boy, did Gita deliver the goods. In a matter of two months, she transformed our daughter from a C- student to an A student. Her grades in Geometry and Chemistry sky rocketed and the teachers are amazed by the rapid 180 degree turnaround.
If you need a patient, well qualified, dedicated ally, Gita scores top marks, bar none! Gita's tutoring is exceptional and she truly is the consummate professional. Previous tutors simply regurgitated copy from the textbook. Gita goes above and beyond the call of duty. In her tool box, she brought a Chemistry "jeopardy" game AND a typed outline AND additional practice quizzes. Even my daughter's teachers wanted to xerox the notes and use them as a study guide for the class!
Long term plans are to have Gita help with trig and calculus and then SAT/SAT II prep work, and more than likely, start Algebra with our son asap! As long as Gita wants, she will have a place in the family.
