Linda Palafox-Underwood is a Graphic Designer, Painter, and Art Instructor.

Linda’s journey into art began as a hobby. Early in her career, she created identify and promotional designs for youth sports league. To gain additional experience, she implemented innovative corporate branding solutions to non-profit clients. Her first art workshop, at a treatment center opened the door to teaching art for the next decade. Linda trained herself how to teach art by enrolling in courses at a local university. From 2005 to 2009 Linda taught a variety of art classes such as: Arts & Crafts, Drawing and Painting, Graphic Design, Microsoft Office and Yearbook. She successful completed four yearbook publications, advised and directed annual fundraiser events while providing Interior design solutions for a senior prom, as well as promotional and identify designs for the event. In 2005, she received the New Teacher of the Year award while several of her art students were recognized as winners of Preakness Youth art contest in Baltimore city wide competition.
Mrs. Underwood traveled around North America and used her soaring inner vision to capture different perspectives of the vibrant colors and shapes of mother earth. This unity of harmony from nature conveys a message of hope into her minimalistic designs in watercolor paintings, identify, promotional and publication design. Most recently, she is teaching youth how to draw and paint at Kidzart and conducting art workshops at retreats for adults. Linda contributes artistic skills to a variety of clients, allowing these clients’ vision to come to fruition. She is the Chairperson for Arts & Graphics for BACNA X 2012 convention. She is also designing several books and performing project management activities for a local nonprofit.

Her ancestors are of the Native American San Gabrielino tribe. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and her Computer of Science in Applied Science degree from Heald College, San Jose, California. Her professional career includes several Art Instructor positions within Maryland. She is also a former Project Manager, and Database Analyst. Her design work consists of minimalistic design and the heart of her creativity comes from her heritage and “the freedom of an eagle and the beauty of mother earth.”
