I have been tutoring for over two years now and enjoying every moment. I just received word that one of my students who had previously been unsuccessful in passing the GED has passed after learning with me.

I am a college graduate from the University of MD, College Park with a BS in Decision Information Sciences and Statistics. I also minored in Art Studio. I have a diverse passion in the arts (drawing, painting, music, poetry) as well as a well rounded education in math, science and English.

I'm great with adults and children and am currently an event social planner in the Baltimore area working with people every day. I have a great smile and, being an Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts, have acquired an aptitude towards helping others.

I'm also professionally teaching Pre-GED math and have had two students already receive their GEDs, with four students registered. No students have failed from my class. I also had three students score 100, 99, and 98 recently on their tests.

I have been tutoring children for over 2 years now, mainly in mathematics. I'm already approved in elementary math and include some exercises in writing and language as well. I have great intuition in solving the issues children have in learning, especially in attention spans.

Study Skills

I have been a GED teacher for 2 years, a tutor on WyzAnt for 2+ years and have successfully taught students in taking the SAT and GED. I have 6 students taught by me who have earned their GEDs and have raised the scores of 3 students in their SATs.

Chess

I have been playing chess for most of my life and have been able to teach people on the fly. I am an active participant on gameknot.com which I have been playing for over 5 years. I just tutored my first student in chess and it went quite smoothly!

Drawing

I minored in Art Studio. I concentrated in black & white media, and I understand perspective as well as art theory as it pertains to Socrates.

Volleyball

I currently have 8+ years of experience playing volleyball. I have been playing a rec league for three years, and am now into my second season as captain of a B league that runs a 5-2 scheme with a labraro.

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
