Hi, my name is Kel and I'm a Doctor of Pharmacy. After completing my high school baccalaureate of sciences at Saint Michel des Perrais in Parigne-le-polin, in France, I moved to the United States to attend college.
I first attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison majoring in Electrical Engineering. As a student in Wisconsin, I tutored French to students majoring in French in groups and individual sessions. In addition to tutoring collegiate level students, I also had the opportunity to teach a group of primary aged kids which proved to be extremely fun and exciting!
I learned then that teaching was a passion for me, but more importantly, I enjoyed guiding students through the arduous process that is to learn a new language. Furthermore, learning the English language before attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison provided me a better understanding of and enriched my ability to assist others in learning a new language.
I later attended the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy where I received a doctoral degree in Pharmacy, and also tutored French regularly to students and some professors.
In terms of tutoring methods I favor the use of visual aids, real life scenarios, and personal experiences as well as a combination of listening, speaking and writing tools which have proven to be the key to learning a language the right way and not being afraid to speak it.
I'm looking forward to helping anyone from kids to adults in learning French!
Merci,
Kel
