I am a student at the University of Rochester, majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics. I am familiar with the programming languages Java, C, MATLAB, Prolog, Lisp, and some x86 assembly language. In mathematics, I have particular interest in group theory and differential equations. Recently, my work has been in the field of Quantum Computation, which I have studied under Paul Fili. In this work, I proposed a modification of Shor's algorithm to solve the Abelian Hidden Subgroup problem.

However, I am just as comfortable working at a more fundamental level, on less complex topics. I can explain difficult concepts in simple language and in an easy to understand manner. I would be willing to work with students of any age: from elementary school to the college level and beyond.

Differential Equations

I took a course in high school which mirrored the intermediate level Differential Equations course at MIT. I can handle general order linear differential equations, and can solve them using a variety of methods: including Laplace transforms, power series, and reduction to a first order system of linear differential equations. Computer Science

I got a 5 on the Computer Science AP Test and am currently majoring in Computer Science at the University of Rochester. I can handle topics in Artificial Intelligence, Algorithmic Analysis, and a variety of programming paradigms.

MATLAB

I have studied and taken classes using MATLAB extensively, and is one of many different programming languages in my repertoire.

Visual Basic

The first programming language I learned, I focused on generating and managing GUIs and similar offline applications, before Visual Basic was updated to a support the .NET framework. My own experience has been with pure Visual Basic, not VBScript or Visual Basic .NET.

I personally wrote a GUI which simulated Conway's Game of life, with support for more generalized two dimensional totalistic cellular automata.
