I am a bioinformatics and Genetic Engineering student at the University of Maryland College Park with five years of working experience as a tutor. I am competent as a tutor offering explanations and advice to students with academic trouble. Helping students with academic achievement and working with them in order to clarify learning problems and studying skills are both significant in my tutoring style. I am responsible, supportive, consistent, punctual, smart, and committed to help people. I have a really good communication and decision making skills and I believe I can do great if given the opportunity.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Genetics

I am majoring in Genetics Engineering and I have more than experience and solid background in doing Mendelian Genetics problems.

Organic Chemistry

I have a very solid back ground for organic chemistry courses (Both Organic 1 and 2). Besides the lecture or theory part, I have been working as research assistant in the organic chemistry lab for the last two years, so I can help and teach those who need to prepare both for college level and MCAT preparation.
