Greetings! You are most likely looking here to find a resource to assist your child, partner, or perhaps even yourself find the key to unlock the mystery of one or more subjects that have you confounded. I have worked with individuals across the country and around the world to help individuals just like you find that one thing that makes the key click for them.

I have been working in the field of education for the past ten years both in the K-12 environment as well as at the collegiate level. Most recently, I have been teaching economics, business, and information technology courses at the College of Southern Maryland.

Additionally, I have been filling in as a substitute teacher in the Saint Mary's County School System and as a home/hospital teacher or students who, for whatever reason, are unable to attend regular classes.

My tutoring philosophy is similar to my teaching philosophy: understand the basics and then move forward at a comfortable pace. Each of my students is an individual with individual needs. My job is to discover how to best meet those needs and provide a level of service designed to exceed those needs.

General Computer

I am currently teaching introduction to computers as well as computer operating systems at the College of Southern Maryland. The courses focus on ethics of computer/technology usage, applications, system recovery, registry editing, etc.

Business

I currently teach Business and Economics courses at the College of Southern Maryland. The courses include Introduction to Business in a Market Economy, Macroeconomics, Introduction to Management, Business Math, and Customer Service. I previously taught similar courses including Business Applications in Microsoft Office.

Public Speaking

For the past 12 years, I have been teaching or giving presentations before groups. Most recently, I've become the speech coach for a local 4H club.

Career Development

I held previous positions as Director of Career services at two Proprietary Education Colleges. In these roles as well as an instructor I taught resume writing courses, interview skills, and dress for success seminars. I have also held several job fairs.

I am currently a site coordinator for the Southern Maryland Professionals in Transition job club.

College Counseling

As a former college administrator as well as a college recruiter, I have experience with the hurdles students and their parents face while completing the requisite paperwork to attend higher education institutions. This includes searching for and applying for scholarships, deciding which college is best for the applicant, completing applications, and completing FAFSA applications.

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
