In my eight years of teaching I have been successful in helping students achieve their goals as it relates to various mathematics curricula, such as 75% (24 out of 32 students) who passed the Integrated Algebra Regents Examination on their first attempt with a 65 or higher.
Another instance was out of the 20 students school-wide who received at least a 65 on the Geometry Regents examination, 60% (12 students) were my pupils, including the two highest scoring students.
Consistently obtaining passing scores for first-time test takers has not been my only strength, but I have created effective structures that have addressed pertinent issues for students who needed additional time to meet their mathematical goals. Just an example is 62% (16 out of 26 students) who previously failed the Integrated Algebra exam at least twice, passed with a minimum of a 65 by the end of two semesters.
Additionally, I received a 90% or above on the following content tests: Pre-algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, and Trigonometry.
I would love to help you build your confidence in mathematics whether you are strong in math or if you may loathe it. Check out how I would help you by viewing actual math questions that I have answered for other students in the "Resources" tab. The math lady will be to YOUR rescue!
