Praise the Lord! I have been educating and mentoring inside and outside of the classroom for 17 years. I have taught, tutored and mentored youth and young adults from ages 8-28. I have even tutored adults that have transitioned into other careers and needed a refresher course on subjects such as math and science. I am ACSI certified (national) and near completion of the requirements for Maryland State certification. I have an outstanding track record of getting improvement in all core (Math, Science, English Lit/Grammar/Language Arts, Social Studies/History, Health) subject areas. I have a very disciplined approach, but kids always enjoy my instruction and my guidance. I am always punctual and very easy going. I have experience with Movie Making and Editing software such as Microsoft Movie Maker, Mac Final Cut Pro, and iMovie. We use this software to produce Digital Stories, Voice Overs, Digital Photo Albums, Commercials, and other fun projects. Equipment includes computers, microphones, digital cameras, digital camcorders, monitors/televisions, USB drives, External Drives, speakers, tripods, lighting, and HD cameras.

Genetics

I have completed my BS degree in Biology which includes classes and labs in genetics. The study of life is always best understood when there is comprehension of the origins of physical life and how cells and DNA are vital to understanding why we have the phenotypical and genotypical traits that we do. This understanding is properly conveyed to students, though direct learning, labs, short films and interactive assignments. I am equipped to bring about this type of instruction. Thanks.
