Hi, My name is Irma. I am a Brazilian who moved to the US several years ago when my husband joined the World Bank. I have thirty years of professional experience including fourteen years as a College Teacher in Brazil, teaching Library and Information Science. I also have a diploma in Education. I have a passion for teaching and after working for many years in libraries in the DC area I am glad to be teaching again. I also speak Spanish and French and I am very familiar with different methodologies to teach a language. The classes can be customized according to the student's needs. I visit Brazil every year and that always gives me a fresh perspective on the changes in the Brazilian culture as well as changes in the language. I am very comfortable with the Portuguese orthographic reform that went into effect in Brazil in January 2009. Please, feel free to contact me for any additional information you may need. I would love the opportunity to become your tutor! Obrigado!
