Hello,

I am an experienced tutor who has tutored students of all levels and ages over the last 10 years.

I primarily work with high school calculus students and other high school math students, but I have tutored high school and college science and all levels of math for a wide variety of students. I am a PhD biologist, so I am trained in many subjects.

I was an Award Peer Tutor while I was an undergraduate at Harvard. I have years of experience and can provide references if you would like to speak to the families of some of my former students.

I am a research scientist by day, so I only schedule sessions in the evenings and on weekends. My husband is a high school teacher, so I am familiar with the student and teacher perspective. I look forward to working with you!

ADD/ADHD

I have experience as a camp counselor teaching science to kids with ADD/ADHD and I have tutored 3 additional high school students in math who had ADD. I tutored an adult student who had been in a coma, who had forgotten all of her previous math education and had concentration problems. I have a good rapport with students who have ADD/ADHD. Although I cannot guarantee I will succeed with all students, I feel confident in my ability to tutor students with ADD/ADHD.

Aspergers

I have experience as a camp counselor teaching science to two kids with Aspergers and I have tutored one additional high school student in math who had Aspergers. I am a scientist and interact with many colleagues who have Aspergers in a variety of settings including teaching and explaining. I appreciate the special qualities that many Aspies have. Although I cannot guarantee I will succeed with all students, I feel confident in my ability to tutor students with Aspergers.

Biostatistics

I have an MSc and a PhD in biology, and I have been a research biologist using biostatistics on a weekly basis for several years.
