I have a master's degree from university in Madrid in Spanish language and literature. I have been teaching for more than 20 years in schools, companies and in tutoring environments.
My basic methodology involves getting students to see patterns in the material we are using and have students apply that insight. This is essentially how verb tenses are learned in any language.
I also usually place a strong emphasis on having students hear what they are reading or working with in written format. This has proven effective in improving overall understanding of the language.
Hard work is important but also the enjoyment of learning and progressing.
I also have completed one year of doctoral studies in literature in Spanish and I am an accomplished writer, both in English and Spanish. I lived in Spain for 22 years and I have traveled to South and Central America and I have a deep understanding of Spanish speaking culture in general.
I am experienced with the learning process of all ages and levels of students and I enjoy teaching and sharing my knowledge and abilities with them.
