Advocating for and assisting children in need and their families has always been my passion and this is why I look to tutoring for employment. I have fostered this interest since I attended law school where I enrolled in courses such as Juvenile Justice, Children and the Law, and Family Law. After graduating from law school I went on to work at the Baltimore City Department of Social Services.
Still not satisfied with my impact, I chose to make a career change and became a special educator in an urban alternative high school in Baltimore City. I taught subjects such as English, Middle school science, career development, and HSA Prep as well as assisted students in completing Bridge plan projects.
Finally, I am currently the compliance manager for two DC charter schools in which I assure regulatory compliance and oversee day-to-day legal matters. Though all of these positions have been rewarding, I have always loved to teach.
