I'm Don and I love to tutor -- beginning while I was in high school in South Carolina. Since then, I obtained a bachelor's, master's, and a Ph.D., all in mathematics. I tutored while working on each of these degrees.

I taught math at college-level for over ten years and have been a practicing mathematician for several decades post-teaching.

When tutoring, I like you to show me what you know before I begin guiding you. As often happens, math anxiety and bad habits get in the way of you doing your best. I patiently work with you to get past any such barriers and then go to present new material or new ways to get things done.

I receive a lot of praise for my tutoring and teaching -- the manner and the effectiveness.

Logic

As a Florida-State undergraduate, I took and Aced a graduate course in Foundations of Mathematics in which we worked through mathematical and logical models that provide the basis for modern mathematics. I also took and Aced a sophomore course in Logic, which was all symbolic logic. I have also taught symbolic logic as parts of college courses many times during my 14-year teaching career.
