Hello to all learners out there! I'm Daniel, and I hope to be your tutor in the near future. As a teacher with an education degree and teaching certificate, I have a great deal to offer you, such giving you a solid understanding of the material being learned, as well as good learning strategies and an uncanny ability to develop the passion of a life-long learner.

My degree is in music education, so I am especially adept at teaching in this area, from music theory to instrumental lessons, but I have knowledge and experience in many more areas to help your learning as well.

I took a varied set of courses in high school and college, as well as learned a lot on my own time, so I have the tools to help you succeed in many classes, and on standardized tests as well. I hope to help guide you on your journey for knowledge soon!

Music Theory

I took music theory courses in high school (AP Music Theory) as well as in college, studying both tonal and atonal music theory, receiving high marks in all of my courses.

Ear Training

In college, I took courses in ear training, and received high marks throughout my courses. These classes focused on both tonal and atonal music.

General Music

I have a Bachelors degree in Music Education, and I took a course in teaching general music. In addition, I have substitute-taught general music classes since college.

Music History

I took music history courses, focusing on the development of Western music from the renaissance era to the present, during my college career. I received high marks in each class.

Piano

I took piano lessons in elementary and junior high school, and received high ratings at solo competitions. In college, I took courses in piano technique and accompaniment as part of the receiving my degree in Music Education.

Sight Singing

I took courses in college for my music degree that involved a great deal of tested sight singing. I received high marks in these courses, and had to sight sing both tonal and atonal music.

Theatre

I have experience performing in both school and community theater productions, and, through my own efforts, have a fairly strong knowledge of the history of musical theater.

Voice (Music)

I have a great deal of experience as a singer, performing in choruses both in high school and college, as well as for orchestral concerts and in musical theater productions.

Drums

I have played percussion since junior high school, focusing on classical percussion as well as rock and jazz drumming. I have a Bachelor's of Music degree in music education, my primary instrument, that I took private lessons in throughout college, being percussion.
