I graduated from the Community College of Baltimore County in December 2011 with an A.A.T. in Secondary Education-Mathematics. I have always loved math and I am always striving to reach a deeper understanding of the topic. I have found that most students who claim to have a hatred of math have only not found a way to make the material relate to them. It is my goal to find a way to make the material relate to students because if they understand the material then the exercises come as second nature.
I will be attending Towson University in the fall to pursue a degree in Mathematics-Secondary Education. It is my goal to be a teacher in the Maryland school system and eventually become a professor at a community college. To get experience for this goal, I became a tutor at CCBC and have been tutoring there since January of 2011. I tutor college students in everything from basic math to Calculus III. The tutoring I do there is part-time and I am looking for more experience and also to help more students with their mathematics troubles.
