I'm a 34-year-old wife, mother, and professional. I have built a career in Veterinary Medicine and absolutely love math and science. I enjoy figuring out problems, learning, reading, and playing all kinds of trivia games. I even tried out for Jeopardy once! I'm a self-described "Grammar Nerd" and a notoriously slow texter (since everything I type has to be spelled correctly). :-)
I remember growing up and being terrified of "hard" subjects. It just took a few special teachers to show me that if I had confidence in myself, then I could do anything. I would love the opportunity to show others how much fun learning can be.
I went to college at Virginia Tech and love rooting for my Hokies! My husband complains that half my wardrobe is orange and maroon. :-)I'm a huge animal lover and spend much of my free time playing with my 2-year-old pit bull, Isabelle. I have a 7-month old son who has taught me more than I EVER learned in college. :-)
I currently work at the National Institutes of Health and love it! Being surrounded by such high-achieving, brilliant people is inspiring. I love that I have the opportunity to learn something new everyday.
