About Sonya
I have 25 years of Government Service where I currently work. I hold a BS degree in Accounting and a Masters degree in Discipleship Ministries from Liberty University. Currently, I am working on a Masters of Divinity in Professional Ministries (2013 expected completion date).
I serve as the Christian Education Director at Revival Temple Full Gospel Church. In 2005, I wrote a six week curriculum for the five year old age group that was incorporated in the Bible Study that year.
It is my desire to see young people achieve their dreams. I am a firm believer that the sky is limit and with hard work we can achieve our dreams.
With Math, repetition is the key. My method is to teach the concepts in fun ways that will build the students confidence level and assist with memorizing the concepts. Concepts are explained step-by-step so that I can help the student with steps that present problems. Students will have the opportunity to practice these concepts in their homework exercises and/or reviews. I firmly believe practice makes perfect. Additionally, after students learn the concepts, they will have the opportunity to use various re-enforcement methods, such as Math software (purchased by the tutor and using tutors computer with WiFi connect with parental consent).
My services include helping children prepare for Math Test and Exams. Students have the opportunity to be rewarded (at my discretion) for their hard work. Those who know me know that I love giving incentives. I have five years experience in tutoring. I would love the opportunity to help you achieve your goals.
