I am a chemical engineer working with a company in Abingdon.
Prior to that, I served in the U.S. Army and did tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
I have always enjoyed tutoring and did a lot of it in my college years.
I missed tutoring when I was in the army but as soon as my son got to school age, I resumed my tutoring with him.
He is now in 4th grade and I can't tell you how much I enjoy working with him in math.
I have found that different children have different ways of learning but generally if the child feels comfortable (in a relaxed setting like a home), is given patience to absorb the material and topped off with several practice questions, they succeed.
