Spanish comes natural to me. I was born in Puerto Rico and speak fluent Spanish. For those interested in learning to speak and write Spanish, we can start with the basics and move on to advanced. For those of you in a Spanish class, I can help you study and practice. You will surprise yourself when you realize with a little practice, it will be natural for you too!
I have been employed with the Worcester Public Schools over 6 years, and currently work with special education at the middle school level. I’m new to WyzAnt Tutoring, but I am confident that my skills in SPED, Spanish and baseball would be of great help to interested students. I have passed the MTEL of the Massachusetts teaching license and am currently preparing for the Math Subject test.
I have coached Special Olympics softball in Worcester for 6 years and understand special needs very well. The Master’s Degree I am pursuing is in Special Education. I have the patience to help students with learning disabilities such as ADD and ADHD with middle school math homework.
I've been a Worcester resident since 1969 when I first moved here from New York City. I attended the Worcester Public Schools, then the University of Massachusetts (Amherst), and graduated in 1979 with a degree in Education with a Minor in Juvenile Justice. I worked at Department of Youth Services as a caseworker for approximately 20. I am a career changer, following my dream of becoming a teacher.
