In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

College Counseling

I have an MEd in Adult Education. My professional background includes over 17 years of experience as a college admissions and financial aid administrator. I have operated a college planning service for the past 13 years.

Study Skills

I have experience teaching and tutoring ABE, GED, ESL and SAT prep. An integral part of my teaching style is to incorporate study skills. It is essential to student success to guide them in understanding of their learning style. They need to understand which study tips and techniques best suit their learning style, as well as the subject they are studying.
