The primary grades are when early reading and math skills are developed. If you find that your child has trouble in these areas, don't wait until MCAS years are upon them, get them the help they need now.
I am licensed in Massachusetts to teach grades prekindergarten through 6th grade. I am currently teaching Kindergarten in a private school. I have been in early childhood and primary grades for a total of 9 years. I have taught many children, of all levels and abilities, to read. I have tutored privately in grades Kindergarten through second.
I am a fan of the Wilson language program, and use Fundations on a regular basis to help early readers. I am trained in all areas of phonemic awareness and can make an impact on reading levels quickly. I also have experience in Math Connects, IXL Math, and programs if assistance is needed with mathematics.
Having three children of my own, I am able to find the learning style of most any child, and can quickly adapt my teachings to their modalities. I am warm, friendly, energetic, with lots of patience. I will definitely make an impact in the education of your child.
