I am a recent graduate of Boston University's School of Education earning a B.Sc. in English Education with minors in English and history, and I also earned my Massachusetts teaching licensure for English Grades 5-12. Currently, I am a freshmen and sophomore English teacher in a high performing Massachusetts district, but in the Fall of 2012, I also taught English literature in United Kingdom at an all-boys comprehensive school in London. I was responsible for 90 boys in Years 7-12, and worked with a great variety of students - many of whom had Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), whose native language was not English, or who had been identified as particularly gifted in English. I worked to carefully scaffold and extend lessons, and I provided many revision sessions for students to strengthen and develop their skills. While the needs of each of my students are quite unique, my greatest asset was my ability to form strong relationships with my students through which they were able to progress as individuals. I look forward to working with your son or daughter as they develop their reading and writing skills and become more confident in English.
