My name is Seth, and I would be the ideal English language tutor for you!
Several years ago, I graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor's degree in music. The courses I took as part of my major included courses on music history, music theory, and lessons on my instrument (trombone). I served two years with Americorps, which is the domestic version of Peace Corps. After finishing with Americorps, I traveled to Peru and got certified with TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). After getting certified, I moved to Mexico where I taught English classes for 5 weeks.
As a tutor, I have great respect and sensitivity to various learning styles. I believe that every student of every age and level learns differently. Therefore, I strongly believe that it is essential to tailor my lessons to accommodate these various learning styles. Teaching students one-on-one would create an ideal setting for teaching in this manner.
I firmly believe in using a "hands-on" approach tho teaching and learning. I strive to make my lessons as engaging and educational as possible. Depending on the age level, I plan on using games, songs, and other interactive activities that would be beneficial for the students.
