Retired Raytheon Engineer ; Algebra, Physics, Pre-Calculus and German

I have 40 years of experience as a simulation engineer with significant experience using math, physics, and Fortran to develop simulation models. I've been a substitute in local high schools for math and science and have also taught algebra, physics and German in these capacities. In addition, I am also mentoring a student for the past three years from the 7th grade through his current sophomore year in high school as part of the Stand and Deliver program and the Big and Little Friends organizations. I love the teaching aspect of this relationship and have been thoroughly cleared many times by these organizations. During my 40 years with Raytheon, I taught numerous courses in-house, and basic electronics and simulation courses as part of the adjunct faculty at Fitchburg State College.

Algebra 1

I am qualified for all levels of Algebra including Algebra-1.

Algebra 2

I believe that the previous Algebra certification, which I completed and passed with 100% grade, covers Algebra-2, since there was no higher available Algebra certification.

Prealgebra

I am well qualified to handle all levels of Algebra including any pre-algebra.

Trigonometry

I am well qualified to tutor Trigonometry because of my many years of using trigonometric relationships at my job. I am also current with the content of a high school trigonometric course because I recently reviewed and completed all of the odd-numbered problems (for which there were answers) in a high school pre-calculus book, which had about 200 pages and three chapters dedicated to trigonometry. Fortran

For 40+ years I used Fortran almost exclusively to develop simulation models for missile systems. At the time of my retirement, I was responsible for about 30,000 lines of Fortran code. My exposure to Fortran has therefore been very significant over many years at all levels from generating the code to verification of its operation.

Linear Algebra

My knowledge of Linear Algebra is limited to having extensive experience in dealing with 3-dimensional vectors, frames of reference and rotation matrices to develop models of the physical world as was required in the simulation of missile systems.
