I am the founder of a successful college consulting and career service firm. I help students and their families navigate the very competitive, complicated and long college admissions process. From super competitive Ivy admissions to highly selective liberal arts colleges, I know how to put together an exceptional application to make your child stand out from the thousands of other bright, ambitious students. I truly enjoying working with Division I, II and III athletes, and have advised many prospects through the entire recruiting process. Former clients have joined college golf, squash, baseball, and football teams. I also work with students interested in transferring to another school…successful transfers include MIT, Johns Hopkins, Columbia and other top universities with amazing merit scholarships!
Once in college, I help students find valuable, paid internships and work with them to decide on a major based on career interests and market demand. Before they graduate, I can help with resume development, practice interviews and career planning. I believe college and career planning go together and are not separate events. Whether your child hopes to become an engineer, is interested in international marketing or plans to attend medical school, the most successful young adults begin putting a plan together in high school and continue exploring careers and building experience while in college.. Don't worry too much, it's my job to help formulate the ideas, develop a plan and execute it!
My job is to simplify the college application process and remove the stress from your home…fast! Services include developing a target list of schools, preparing the Common Application, writing assistance for all essays, standardized test strategies and tutor referrals, letters of recommendation, Admissions and Coach interview assistance, special interest/ hook development---Legacy, NCAA I, II III Athletes, Special Talents, financial aid negotiation tactics and if needed, strategies to get off the Wait List and on the the Admit List!
There are so many things to consider when choosing a college or university:
How much money is REALLY available? How much in loans? Expected Family Contribution?
What is geographic diversity and how can this help my application?
What is "Determination of Interest?" Are colleges really tracking emails to your child? (YES!)
Athletic Scholarships? NCAA - Division I, II or III? Merit or Leadership Scholarships?
Private vs. Public Universities? Are public schools really more affordable?
SAT vs. ACT … Do schools have a preference? Are test optional REALLY optional?
How to get the attention of the Admission Reps early--don't wait till senior year!
Every year I attend professional conferences for Independent College Admissions Counselors, Guidance Counselors and College Admissions Reps ... so I know what colleges are looking for and am happy to share this information with you.
Call me or send me an email so we can discuss how I can help your child and family today!
