I am a licensed Massachusetts teacher, Paraprofessional at a public school, and a dedicated tutor. My goal as a tutor is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the material and an ability to express his/her knowledge in a clear written form. I am passionate about my content areas and know that if the audience is receptive, I will deliver them the ability to understand the subject matter fully.
I'd expect a student to be ready to engage in an exercise of his/her intellectual abilities at every session. The end result being an ability to comprehend and assimilate facts into your broader understanding. As your tutor, it'll be my duty to provide the very best personalized education and learning experience. I am extremely familiar with the Advanced Placement tests. My AP experience in high school allowed me to complete my four year Bachelors degree in History and Political Science at Emmanuel College in three years. The advanced placement tests I've completed and passed are as follows: U.S. History, European History, World History, U.S. Government and Politics, Comp Government and Politics and English Literature.
In addition to my personal AP experience, I've also passed the MTEL (Massachusetts Test for Educator Licensure) for History and Political Science. I have extensive tutoring work experience from my time at Emmanuel College. While attending Emmanuel, I tutored European history and philosophy to both individual students and groups of students.
