My love for teaching comes from my background as a sales representative and district manager for one of the most respected companies in the Marketing industry (Vector Marketing/Cutco Cutlery). I have interviewed thousands of graduating high school students and college students and trained hundred of them to become top sales representatives. In the process of coaching my former representatives, I taught them leadership, business, communication, and public speaking skills.
I've had the opportunity to give keynote speeches in front of groups of 750-1000 students at a time.
I specialize in teaching business, career development, public speaking, marketing, and communication skills. The goal of each session is to help the student make progress. I assign homework and activities for the student to do between lessons.
I hold myself to a high standard not only with teaching, but learning as well. I read a book a week. I complete a full personal development program every month. I believe the best teachers are the best students. True leadership is leading by example.
I love to get feedback from students and parents. I will never charge for a lesson in which the student or parent is not completely satisfied.
I try to be flexible with time. I do have a 24-hour cancellation policy, I offer make up classes.
I am willing to drive a fair distance to conduct lessons.
I look forward to hearing from you and helping you to achieve your academic and/or personal goals.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
As a district manager for Vector Marketing from 2010-2013 I trained my sales team to sell $1 million worth of a household product. The district manager position is similar to running a franchise just without the franchise fee. As a business owner I had a receptionist team of 5-10 leaders at any given time. My sales team varied in size from 20-75 representatives at different points in the year. In creating the business, I had to do everything from creating a business plan to searching and securing an office space to marketing and advertising the business.
Once the business was established I interviewed, trained, and coached both my sales representative and receptionist teams.
In 2013 I left Vector Marketing to start a career as a leadership/success coach, motivational speaker, and author. I currently coach 17 college students and young entrepreneurs.
As a District Manager for Vector Marketing from 2010-2013 I interviewed thousands of graduating high school seniors and college students. So from the employer standpoint I have extensive experience. I've had the opportunity through coaching my former sales representatives to help students and recent graduates prepare for interviews. I've also helped students secure internships, and jobs.
I enjoy teaching students and recent graduates how to stand out in job interviews. I teach applicants to focus on how they can contribute to the business they are applied to. Showing a commitment before even being hired reveals an applicants true motivation behind applying for the position.
From 2010 to 2013 I worked as a District Manager for a nationwide Marketing firm with sales of $250 million annually.
As a District Manager I not only had to train my sales representatives to market and sell our product, I also had to market the sales position to recruit top representatives.
Our three days training course that all of my sales representatives were required to complete taught them the 7 steps to effectively market our product.
My sales force sold $1 million during my time as district manager. I also trained three of my representatives to run their own branch offices.
As the owner of a leadership and success coaching business, everything I do involves public speaking. Part of my career involves conducting 60-90 minute keynote speeches at colleges and universities in front of groups as large as 1000 students.
In the coaching part of my business I work with high school graduates, college students, and recent graduates to improve their public speaking skills. Increased public speaking skills offers students the opportunity for internships, job placements, sales, raises, and leadership positions.
I have an extensive background of teaching others public speaking during my time as a district manager for Vector Marketing. Each year I trained my management candidates on public speaking through practicing parts of the interview and sales training manual. The candidates, under my supervision, would practice in front of their peers. It was my responsibility to work with each candidate one on one to fine-tune his or her public speaking skills. The training in public speaking was a building process and by the time the candidates started running their own organizations they were great public speakers. My managers trained their representatives to sell over $100,000 worth of products their first summer.
