My name is Russell, and I am currently an adjunct professor at Middlesex Community College in Lowell and Bedford, Massachusetts. For the past eleven years, I have taught Basic Writing, Basic Writing ELL, English Composition 1, and English Composition 11 (Literature) in both the traditional classroom and the Flexible Studies (self-paced) department.
In addition, I currently teach English Composition to Verizon Corporation students who have enrolled in the Verizon Next Step program. Upon completion of this degree, Verizon employees receive an Associate Degree in Data and Telecommunications.
Also, I have tutored MCAS to Somerville, MA middle school students. In addition, I also tutor the English section of the SAT and ACT examinations.
My tutoring style revolves around a successful program called the Six Traits of Writing:
Ideas, Organization, Word Choice, Sentence Fluency, Voice, and Conventions (the mechanical correctness of the piece-spelling, paragraphing, grammar and usage, punctuations, and use of capitals).
I would be pleased to help interested people improve both their business and academic English concerns.
