If you want a patient, caring, results-oriented tutor, you've found him! I've been successfully tutoring students for 9 years. I teach a wide variety of subjects, and will work with anyone from grades 5 through Adult. I specialize in middle and high school Math (Algebra 2 is my favorite), and standardized test prep: PSAT, SAT, GED, ACT, etc. Most of my students improve their total SAT scores by 80-250 points! I can also help with the college search and admissions process if necessary.

I usually tutor students at their homes, but I am willing to work at another location (public library, coffee shop, etc.), if preferred. Please contact me for more details, past results, and references. Looking forward to working with you! Thanks.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

College Counseling

I have helped several students in this area. I provide: SAT/ACT preparation, help with the college search process, essay writing and proofreading assistance, help in preparing for various types of college placement exams(Accuplacer, TEAS, etc.), assistance in filling out the FAFSA and other financial aid forms, as well as help with the college application itself. I also help students determine, based on their backgrounds, what college/career school/course of study would be the best for them.

Wonderful educator — Jonathan has been a wonderful tutor for my daughter. He has increased her vocabulary alot, since English was her weakest subject. By teaching her new vocabulary words in every lesson, she sure will pass her English section on the SAT'S exam. ...
