Hello !

I have been a practicing Engineer for the past 38 years. I have college level training from Brown University in biology, earth sciences, physics, chemistry, advanced mathematics and specialized sciences (such as meteorology). I can help you with any sort of mathematics problems, chemistry or physics difficulties, biology assignments or anything else related to the high school curriculum in math and science.

I have two grown daughters of my own (both of whom I tutored in chemistry, calculus and general mathematics) in high school and college. One is now a lawyer, and the other a PhD scientist in psychopharmacology. I believe they are both smarter than their old man.

I approach every learning difficulty as an engineer would, breaking down problems into their most digestible and understandable bits, and working at that level. I look forward to working with you !

Baseball

I have grown up watching baseball, playing baseball, talking baseball and studying baseball. I have been active in every facet of the game and would love to share my knowledge with others. I taught my daughters well enough that at age 8 they could hit a wiffle ball over the house!

Cooking

My wife and I view cooking as recreation as well as a necessity of life. My grandmother taught me to cook at a young age, so that I could be on my own as a young man and not starve!

I love to cook and I love to teach. I have dozens of years of experience in the kitchen, especially in the areas of knife skills, butchering, pastry, bread making and cheese making. I also put up all of the produce from my vegetable garden each summer. Let's get going!

How do I receive a discount?

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
