My experience in and enthusiasm for teaching goes back to my first years in college, when I started to teach prep courses for International Biology
Olympiad to high school students. As an international Olympiad medalist, I enjoyed in helping students in large and small groups understand the core concepts of molecular biology, biochemistry
, and quantitative fields of biology such as biostatistics
While pursuing my PhD degree at Johns Hopkins University, I was awarded a Dean's teaching fellowship to create and teach a new course in statistics
aimed for upper undergraduates in biological sciences. I enjoyed teaching students majoring in biology, economics
, and engineering disciplines. This experience also taught me how to measure and adapt to the needs of the students as the course progressed. I received excellent feedback from the students and the course was selected in the following year to receive a Dean's Prize fellowship based on student response. Currently, I am a postdoctoral research scientist at Harvard Medical School and that puts me in daily contact with many subjects that I teach.
