As someone who sees every day how powerful knowledge can be in our lives, I have dedicated myself to a never-ending quest for intellectual rigor. In fact, this quest took me from a BA in Classics and French, to an MA in Classics, and ultimately to a PhD in Classical Archaeology. Although my professional background is eclectic, I chose education because there is no better feeling than watching a child find their academic voice.

My specialties include tutoring Latin, Ancient History, and Archaeology. I am most familiar with tutoring to enhance the classroom experience, but I can also assist students with preparation for the National Latin Exam, AP Latin Exam, and the Latin SAT II. Regardless of the material being covered, I believe in challenging students so that they get the most out of each session. I assign a reasonable amount of homework, and I also will provide assessments and progress reports during the course of the sessions.

My number one goal is to satisfy students and parents. To this end, I offer a free “get to know me” introductory session. I also ask for feedback from both the parent and student after this first session and on a regular basis thereafter. I have a 24-hour cancellation policy.

While I do not have my own office space, I am willing to travel to a location that is convenient for the student.

I look forward to hearing from you. I know that I can help you improve in your studies!
