I have a B.A. and M.A. in English literature from Boston College, an M.A. in Art History from Tufts and a Ph.D. in Art History from Case Western Reserve University. My love of teaching has inspired me to tutor independently. I am particularly adept at instructing students in expository writing for the Humanities (including literary analyses and art historical (visual) analyses); research; choosing and developing paper topics; organizing and formulating arguments for papers and exam essays; study skills; and general counseling for success in college, graduate school, and beyond. I am also an artist and published fiction writer, with much experience teaching at Suffolk University and Boston College. n.b. The drawing you see as my profile picture is my own work. It represents the main character of my fairy tale "A Father's Wish."
