Science and teaching are my two passions in life. I have been teaching high school Biology and in-school tutoring for the past two years. I provide expertise in all aspects of the biological sciences and have a strong chemistry background. I have had particular success with those of my students that struggle most with the subject; giving them intensive one on one tutoring to help them master challenging concepts and material. My style is imaginative and life-relevant, providing material in a manner that is accessible to multiple styles of learning. In addition to applying my in-depth knowledge of the subject, I work patiently with students to hone their study skills, identify their strengths and help them to overcome the mental stumbling blocks that often get in the way of succeeding in Science. This approach has proven to be highly effective.
I came to teaching high school level science following nearly two decades of medical research at MIT, University College London and the biotechnology industry. I am now an energetic, enthusiastic and dedicated high school teacher, with a desire to share my passion for science; training and inspiring young scientific minds.
