I attended Rhode Island School of Design as a painting major, graduated in 1989, and received the Florence Lief Scholarship. After graduation, I moved to Brooklyn, NY, where I lived and painted from 1990-1993. In 1993 I went to graduate school at The Museum School of Fine Arts, Boston, MA for a Master's in Fine Arts, and graduated in 1996. After graduation I moved to Los Angeles, CA, and worked as the Lead Muralist and Decorative painter for The Demar Feldman Company from 1998-2003.
In 2003 I returned to Boston, MA, with a desire to teach art. I worked for The Stoney Brook Elementary School from 2005-2006 as an after school art teacher. And in 2006 I moved to Boston in order to become certified to teach art grades 5-12 at Lesley University in Cambridge in their Creative Arts and Learning Program. In 2009-10 I taught art to middle school students The North Central Charter School in Fitchburg, MA. In the summer of 2010 I received a scholarship to study at Kripalu to become a certified yoga instructor. From 2010-2011 I taught an after school art program to elementary students at The Bennet Hemenway School in Natick, MA, and I also worked as a scenic designer for for Art of The Event in Medford MA.

I was invited to return to The Arts Students League for the March of 2012. I worked for the Theatre Offensive in 2012 doing scenic backdrops for theatrical productions. In April 2012 I began to teach private art lessons to children and adults through a company in Weston, MA and presently work there. This past summer I was granted a residency at Gallery 263 in Cambridge where I created a large scale installation in mixed media for a show in September 2012.
In my teaching I first assess the students skill level and interests and then create a curriculum that I feel will most benefit the student. I like to allow the students to experiment with new media and provide demonstrations and written, visual and audio aids to assist in the learning depending as well on the type of learner. My Instruction continues throughout the lesson plan and I stay engaged with the student.
