I have been tutoring for over ten years now. I currently work at a celebrated literary magazine as an editor and production manager, and also teach composition and literature at the Berklee School of Music. I love helping students become comfortable and skilled in using words, and hopefully to also enjoy the process of writing.
I have also worked as a one-on-one SAT tutor, and for several years was a GRE instructor for the Princeton Review.
As a tutor at several Boston-area colleges, I have helped students with everything from scholarly essays on architecture to song lyrics and short stories. I also served as a volunteer tutor at our local library helping people improve their English skills. It is very satisfying to get to know someone while watching their language abilities blossom at the same time.
I have a Masters in Writing from Emerson College and have published stories, poems, and essays in a number of journals. I speak some French, Hindi, and Kannada, and also love to play the guitar and piano.
