I have been tutoring for over ten years now. I currently work at a celebrated literary magazine as an editor and production manager, and also teach composition and literature at the Berklee School of Music. I love helping students become comfortable and skilled in using words, and hopefully to also enjoy the process of writing.

I have also worked as a one-on-one SAT tutor, and for several years was a GRE instructor for the Princeton Review.

As a tutor at several Boston-area colleges, I have helped students with everything from scholarly essays on architecture to song lyrics and short stories. I also served as a volunteer tutor at our local library helping people improve their English skills. It is very satisfying to get to know someone while watching their language abilities blossom at the same time.

I have a Masters in Writing from Emerson College and have published stories, poems, and essays in a number of journals. I speak some French, Hindi, and Kannada, and also love to play the guitar and piano.

I have a Master's in Writing from Emerson College, and currently work in the writing centers of both the Boston Architectural College and the Berklee College of Music, primarily tutoring students who speak English as a second language. I also volunteer weekly at my local library as a conversation partner for people learning English, and have worked with students from Haiti to Tibet. I am comfortable with French and am also in the process of learning Spanish. All of this experience has given me a good feeling for some of the difficulties that English can present as a language, and some of the best ways to help students overcome them.

I work as the production manager for a Boston literary magazine, where I help to edit and proofread a variety of content. For several years, I was also a tutor at the Boston Architectural College and the Berklee School of Music, where I often worked with international students on their academic writing.

My published pieces include journalism, short stories, and essays. I have also worked as a freelance editor for several publishing and marketing companies, editing advertising copy and writing about trends in various industries.
