I am offering tutoring services in reading comprehension, writing, history, literature, theatre and logic. My qualifications include a master's degree in philosophy and over a decade of classroom experience teaching K-12. My teaching experience includes several years of developing and teaching performing arts curricula for various clients including theatres, and summer and after school programs.

I am also a freelance arts journalist and playwright, and that experience translates as a writing coach who can assist not just in improving basic skills like grammar and punctuation, but higher order skills such as constructing a strong persuasive argument. Though I believe in hard work, I think it is best encouraged by drawing out students' natural curiosity and emphasizing pride in becoming more skillful in their academic endeavors.

I am a playwright and freelance writer based in the Boston area.

Theatre

I am a playwright and performer who also writes theatre criticism as a freelancer (frequently as a contributor to The Arts Fuse.) I have developed and taught curricula in mime, puppetry, masks, as well as historical styles such as commedia dell'arte and choreographed mime and puppetry for youth theatre productions. I am also a Shakespeare enthusiast.

Classics

I hold an MA in philosophy from Boston College and a BA from SUNY Purchase. Both degrees required extensive study of classical philosophy, including Aristotle, Plato, and the Pre-Socratic philosophers. I am also an enthusiast of classical literature and mythology.
