Hi! I am a Vassar College graduate with extensive experience tutoring in all subjects of science and mathematics, and in MCAT and SAT prep.

Study Skills

I have worked with many students who struggled in organization and study skills. As a successful graduate from a tier one college, I am proficient in organization and time management. The only way to succeed academically is to begin studying for exams in advance without relying on cramming, and to attack any problem one may encounter in a subject as it comes up in class and in homework. Waiting to the last minute or allowing notes and problems to become disorganized is a recipe for disaster.

Special Needs

I currently work in a special needs classroom. I have a lot of experience teaching and tutoring students with sensory issues, ADD/ADHD, ASD, and communication barriers.

MCAT

I am a very experienced tutor. I took the Kaplan course in summer 2010 and scored in the 90th percentile on the MCAT. I have vast experience in strategies and subject matter for this test.

College Counseling

I have helped several students to complete college applications successfully. I have helped them to select schools, write essays, fill out forms, etc. I have also been accepted to top undergraduate and graduate programs with my own applications.

ADD/ADHD

I have extensive tutoring experience in organizational and study skill development. I work full-time in a classroom for children with special needs, and am prepared to help students with ADD/ADHD become more organized and succeed in an educational environment.

Genetics

I received an A in a Vassar College Genetics class, and demonstrated full understanding of the material both in class and on the MCAT. Since graduation, I have worked in a genetics research lab, furthering my knowledge of the subject. I have since helped many clients achieve mastery of genetics and biology in their own courses.

Regents

I grew up in NYS, obtaining top scores on all appropriate Regents examinations. Since high school, I have tutored extensively for Regents exams.

How do I receive a discount?

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
