I am an upbeat, out of the box thinker who considers herself a mind artist. This is because I have no drawing ability but can write, edit, and think like a therapist... because I am a therapist. I hold an LMHC, an LSW, and countless years of experience as a mother, friend, therapist, coach (soccer and life) and health fanatic.
In my coaching days, I led our U-12 club team to the US Nationals in Ohio, and we WON! Which should tell you something. I am competitive and believe that every student can become GREAT-- sometimes it just means coaching. Sometimes it means teaching how to write effectively, and sometimes...instilling the desire to want to succeed.
I am a therapist, and know that sometimes parents need to take a small step back so the kids can take a big step forward.
I studied English and Sociology as an undergraduate at New York University, and have my graduate degree in Mental Helath Counseling from Lesley in Cambridge, MA.
I LOVE sports and ART --- sports because I made the national field hockey team back in the day as an alternate and believe that competition is good and that sports teaches kids, children, adults, how to work on a team (life lesson) and art, because I grew up in NYC studying and meeting the greats...Hockney to Copeland.
Finally..I am playful and creative. I encourage and create an environment where learning is FUN.
