Career Development

Over the course of my 20 years as an educator, I led educational institutions at various education levels: junior-high, high school, undergraduates, and graduates, and held several positions in my professional growth that I have trained me to counsel/coach/help students and clients with the sometime daunting choices of what to do with their academic and professional careers. As a university faculty member, I was responsible for regularly counseling students, assigned to my team, on their professional and academic careers, and helped them to develop plans to meet their career goals. For several years, I was assigned as a recruiter, and a director of human resources. I helped students, and clients, work through their personal discoveries of what they were interested in, what opportunities were available, and guided their exploration of opportunities to pursue. I’ve helped and coached thousands of clients/students take ownership for their academic and professional goals in a meaningful and productive way.

College Counseling

As a university faculty member, I regularly counseled students on their academic careers and their professional career plans. I helped students discover what they were interested in and guided their exploration of opportunities to pursue.
Additionally, in my role as a university faculty member, I led admissions and scholarship awards committees, where I selected qualified college applicants and determined if their accomplishments warranted scholarships / grants / gifts.

I have been a teacher, mentor, and tutor for more than 20 years. I am well versed in teaching across the learning continuum, and my students have ranged from university graduate students, professionals in the workforce, to undergraduates, and high school students, to new readers in elementary school.

Public Speaking

In my previous career, I was the commander of the Defense Information School (DINFOS) Air Force Detachment. At DINFOS, our curriculum included teaching public affairs, broadcasting, and public speaking (among others) as specialties. I was responsible not only for leading this school, but also with providing instruction to the staff of instructors and students. As an active duty Air Force Officer (recently retired), I was routinely required to speak in public to a variety of audiences, both in size, scope, and on a wide variety of topics.

I have more than 20 years experience as an editor, writer, and ghost writer for fiction and non-fiction. My expertise spans the realm of writing from literary essays to technical writing.
I have helped dozens of students complete their master's level theses, doctoral dissertations, high school (and junior high school) term papers/essays, college entrance letters, resumes and cover letters, and manuscripts for novels.

No writing assignment is too big or too small; I can help you with it.
