I am a science teacher in Boston Public Schools. I have a Master of Arts in Teaching for secondary school as well as my Bachelor of Science in Biology. I have done cutting edge research on location in Tahiti and Catalina Island, and over the past five years have taught 7th grade Unified Science, 10th and 12th grade Chemistry, as well as 8th grade Unified Science and 11th grade Chemistry honors. My SAT scores were exemplary and the Verbal section was my strong point (score of 800). I have been a part-time tutor for several years, working at such places as Health Careers Academy and Squashbusters after-school program. I was a Division I college goalkeeper and am as passionate about soccer as I am about the sciences. I have coached in varying capacities since high school, and currently am the Junior Varsity Coach of the girls' soccer team at BLA. I have my USSF "E" license and NSCAA Level 1 Goalkeeping certification.
I love teaching, but tutoring really allows that one-on-one time that helps students build the desire for life long learning. It is a joy to be part of that process.
