Hello and thanks for reading my profile. My name is Maryanne. I've been an art teacher for many years, and have also taught computer skills (Microsoft Word and PowerPoint), tutored reading and math, and have mentored several student teachers. Study Skills

Students will learn how to gather and organize information in order to create learning journals, visual aids and other useful study tools. When possible, students will communicate with instructor between in-person sessions via video chat or phone. This on-going support provides consistency and ensures that the study routines are being followed as planned.

Painting

I hold a Bachelor of Science and a Masters Degree -- both in painting. In addition to teaching art for more than 11 years (public school), I sell my paintings, with consistency, in one of the oldest, working artist communities in the U.S. (just north of Boston).

I have a fully equipped painting studio (Schenectady, NY) where students of all ability levels can find their inner artist. Or, if you prefer to have the lessons in your home, I will bring all instructional materials needed.

How do I receive a discount?

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
