I am a recent graduate of Lesley University, Cambridge, MA. I have been in education since 2001. I originally started out student teaching in the Revere Schools, small group settings for children that had difficulties in a classroom. Then I was a 1 to 1 Aide for an Autistic Student, he was non-verbal, so I had to work with an Occupational Therapist in the beginning to learn how to communicate with him. Shortly after I became a Group Leader for an after school program, where I engaged children in various subjects, including science, math, fitness, and plays. A year later a began Assistant Teaching for special needs children in a small group setting, helping them understand classwork an staying focused during classroom instruction. Also, trying to find different ways of them to learn. During this time I was also a Site Director for the after school program, where I was in charge of the site and how the program would operate and participate in the education with staff for children. In 2007, I became a member of the USCG Auxiliary, where I learned marine science and since then been educating both children and adults. Currently I am tutoring for families in Lynn, before that I was educating children from Pakistan, and now looking to tutor more families.
I look forward working with you and your family.
Sincerely,
Cheryl
