** ABOUT ME **
I am an experienced electrical engineer with a Masters Degree from Cornell University. I enjoy math and physics and engineering problems. I have worked in big companies and crazy startups. Once, I even drove a race car as part of my engineering job! This is why I am so enthusiastic about learning, math, and science.
** SOCCER **
I am an NFHS certified interscholastic soccer coach and I have completed the US Soccer/MA Youth Soccer E License. I have worked with children from 6 to 14, boys and girls and I also coach an adult group. My focus is on technical ball-handling skills development. Many excellent players will rely on their athletic skills rather than developing their technical skills--and their coach may not have time for the focused work needed to improve. That's where a private lesson can make a big difference.
** RE-ENTERING WORKFORCE? **
If you are trying to update your skills to re-enter the workforce or to compete better at your existing job I can help. I can get you up to speed with MS Office products Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, etc. I have programmed in VBA and many other languages, too so we can cover advanced features you may need. I have experience with financials and corporate management applications as well as the use of these products in engineering.
** BIG SCHOOL PROJECTS **
If your child has an upcoming school project, I can help them map out a plan and coach them through the process from brainstorming to acquiring materials to reality. I won't do it for them, but I can help them brainstorm, break down the problem, set goals along the way, and teach them any skills they may need (sketching, prototyping, working with tools, measuring, cutting, painting, etc.). I have a full woodworking shop and lots of "Design Squad" ideas to make math and science or any subject come alive.
